The XX Eagle Transmission Cassette is the key component that enables the Eagle Transmission to deliver unparalleled inboard and outboard shifting performance, especially under load. Its full X-Sync design ensures seamless shifting that improves as you pedal harder.
Designed as integrated and interdependent transmission components, the XX Eagle Transmission Cassette and derailleur work together to provide perfect alignment on any bike. With a massive 520% gear range, the XX cassette features a 52-tooth cog that steps down with improved gear progression using 44 and 38-tooth cogs in the low end, unlike the Eagle drivetrain 10-52-tooth cassette. The use of less extreme chain angles throughout the entire range translates to greater durability and precision.
The XX Transmission Cassette comes with a clearly marked Setup Cog for easy installation. It also utilizes hardened tool steel machined X-Dome design for the cluster and stamped steel 38T and 44T cogs pinned to the lighter weight Aluminum 1st gear (Spider Cog) for optimal strength and weight balance.

SRAM Eagle Transmission is not compatible with previous-generation Eagle components. However, Eagle Transmission T-Type chainrings are backward compatible with Eagle chains, so they can be used on the current Eagle drivetrains. Non-T-Type Eagle chainrings will not work with Eagle Transmission chains.
