DF (Degrees of Freedom) technology is a highly simplified anti-pedal kickback system. It’s compatible with all Ratchet DEG freehub setups and is lighter than other comparable solutions. Installation is easy; simply swap out the hub’s threaded ring and the two ratchets, and you can choose from three freehub engagement settings: 0°, 10°, and 20°.

This low-maintenance system adds no extra weight while giving you more control over your bike’s performance. By allowing the freehub to rotate slightly before engaging, it reduces chain influence on the rear suspension, enabling it to operate more freely. Whether you’re tuning your setup for different terrains or bike types, DF technology gives you the flexibility to dial in the ideal ride feel.
